Do you leave things until the last minute?
Some people procrastinate because they get an adrenaline rush out of living life on the edge. Others have simply made a habit of it.
Leaving everything until the last minute is a way of life for many people. Those who tend to procrastinate are not able to go about their business any differently, no matter how much they try to organize their time. Other people may enjoy the adrenaline rush they get from this, whether they realize it or not.
Changes
Changes to your insurance policy should not be left until the last minute, no matter if you are a procrastinator or an adrenaline junkie.
There may be factors that could affect your Rhodes & Williams insurance broker’s ability to secure the proper insurance coverage for you when timelines are tight.
We are here to support you; however, we can do a better job for you when we have a little more notice to complete the changes to your insurance policy or arrange a new insurance policy for you. There is a significant amount of time and effort that goes into your insurance transactions behind the scenes, and it is all in an effort to ensure you are properly protected.
We are living in a world where real estate market conditions are very competitive, and we are navigating life in a pandemic, so we do understand that in some cases short timelines are unavoidable. When possible it is best to notify your insurance broker as soon as you can so we can continue to provide the best service for you.
How much notice is enough?
If you are making a quick policy change – like getting a new vehicle or amending your address, likely a few days is sufficient. If you were looking for coverage on your newly purchased property, a week or two would be preferred. We appreciate a heads up on any upcoming changes, so when you know – let us know! It is as easy as that.
So the question remains, how much notice did you give your insurance broker?
